Deux Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use Deux, operated by Deux Refelexion (“we”). By creating an account or using Deux you agree to these terms and to the Deux Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Deux.
Who can use Deux
Deux is not designed for children. You may use Deux only if you are old enough to enter into these terms and to consent to the processing of your personal information in your country or region.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details private.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account is for one person. Do not pretend to be someone else.
Respect the people you talk to
Deux is a place for private conversations between people who choose to talk. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You must not use Deux to:
- harass, threaten, stalk, coerce, or intimidate anyone;
- send hateful, violent, sexually exploitative, or otherwise objectionable content, or anything involving minors that is sexual in nature;
- share other people's private information without their consent;
- send spam, malware, or content that is illegal where you or the recipient live;
- try to break, overload, or get around the security or limits of the service.
We may remove content and suspend or end accounts that break these rules, with or without notice where the situation is serious.
Reporting and blocking
You can report a message from its message actions and you can block someone you do not want to hear from. We review reports as quickly as we reasonably can and act on them. To reach us directly, email [email protected].
Deux, the AI helper
- Deux's AI tools are optional. A private conversation with Deux is separate from your conversations with other people.
- Deux is an AI. It can be wrong, and its suggestions can be unhelpful or unsuitable. You decide what to send, and you are responsible for it.
- Deux gives communication suggestions. It is not therapy, medical care, legal advice, or an emergency or crisis service. If you or anyone else may be in danger, contact your local emergency number or a trusted person.
- To provide AI features, relevant conversation text and drafts are processed by AI service providers as described in the Privacy Policy.
Deux Plus
Deux Plus purchases are not offered during this private beta. If paid plans become available, we will show the price and subscription terms before you choose to purchase.
If you choose a paid plan, some AI features may require Deux Plus. A subscription bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play shows the price and period before you buy. The subscription renews automatically each period until you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings; deleting Deux does not cancel it. We may offer a free preview; when it ends, features that need Deux Plus stop until you subscribe. Payments and refunds are handled by the store.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you write and send. You give us a limited permission to store, transmit, and process it only as needed to run Deux for you and the people you talk to. Messages you send in a shared conversation are visible to the other participants.
Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time in the app from Menu > Privacy & safety > Delete account. Details of what is deleted and what may be retained are in the account deletion page.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Deux available and accurate, but it is provided “as is” and may change or be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for what other people say or do in conversations. Nothing in these terms limits any right or liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms as Deux changes. The latest version is always at this address with an updated date. Continuing to use Deux after a change means you accept it.
